Clay Bank Road Structure Fire, 2017-02-14

Structure Fire, Clay Bank Road 2017-02-14On February 14, 2017 at approximately 6:50pm Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to Clay Bank Rd for a report of a structure fire. The caller stated that a trailer was on fire. Upon arrival, a camper trailer and carport were found engulfed in flames. The single occupant of the trailer was not in it when the fire started. Crews were on scene for approximately two hours extinguishing the fire and conducting overhaul operations. There were no injuries on scene, and the camper and structure were a total loss. The cause is undetermined at this time. three engines, one medic, and approximately 15 members responded. Chief JD Clements was in command.
