Weekly call Summary February 1 – 7, 2015

Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to the following calls between February 1 and 7, 2015:

On February 5, 2015 at approximately 1:30am, Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to a report of a camper trailer fire in the 7400 block of John Clayton Memorial Highway. The initial call was for a camper that had been on fire, with one person having been burned. The first arriving units found that the camper was on fire again, and the burn patient was located inside the house on the same property. GVFRS units were able to extinguish the fire and conduct overhaul after Dominion arrived on scene and secured the power to the downed power lines near the trailer. One patient was flown to Norfolk General. Three engines, one ambulance, and 13 members responded. Lieutenant Andy Nazak was in command.
