Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad Inc responded to the following calls between January 29 and February 4, 2017:

On February 2, 2017 Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad responded for a report of a structure fire on Gill Ln. The caller stated the house across the road was on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found the structure had already started to collapse and was fully involved. It took firefighters an extended amount of time to mark the fire under control due to the compromised integrity of the structure, and total on scene time was approximately two and a half hours. Four engines, one tanker, one ambulance, and approximately 21 members responded. No one was at the residence at the time of the fire, and the cause is undetermined. Captain David Hamilton was in command.
