Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to the following calls between April 23 and 29, 2017:

1 Mutual Aid to AVFR for a Structure Fire
On April 29, 2017 at approximately 3:30pm Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to a report of a structure fire on Travis Run. Upon arrival, the back deck of the residence was found to be on fire. The fire was knocked down quickly and brief overhaul operations were conducted. The extent of the fire damage was limited to the deck, and there were no injuries on scene. Four engines, one medic unit, and approximately 15 members responded. Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded mutual aid. Chief JD Clements was in command.
