Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. responded to the following calls between March 13 and 19, 2016:

1 Mutual Aid to AVFR for a possible structure fire
1 Nothing Found on Arrival
On March 18, 2016 at approx 3:45am, Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. was dispatched for a report of a structure fire on Mohican Dr. The caller stated that there were flames by the front door. Upon arrival of the first units, the single story residence was found to be fully involved with fire. All occupants were out of the structure, and there were no injuries. Crews were on scene just under three and a half hours conducting fire suppression and overhaul. The house was a total loss, and the cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature. GVFRS responded with six engines, one tanker, and approximately 23 members. Mathews Volunteer Fire Department responded mutual aid with an engine and personnel, and Abingdon Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad responded mutual aid with a tanker and personnel.
