New medic unitGloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc. recently took delivery of a new Horton 603F Type I ambulance that is set on a 2016 Ford F-550 4×4 chassis. It was purchased for $239,000 with donations and funding from the county. It will be replacing a 2000 Ford 4×4 ambulance. The equipment on the current ambulance, estimated at approximately $150,000, will be moved to the new ambulance once it’s licensed and ready to be placed in service. GVFRS would like to thank those who have graciously supported us over the years and made it possible for us to keep our members running in safe and functional equipment to continue serving our community.
