B2005. Chain of Command

Purpose

To establish Standard Operating Procedures for establishing and maintaining the chain of command.

Procedure

Training officer:

Shall report to whatever level is necessary to perform their duties. Normally they will report to their Assistant Chief.

Fire and EMS personnel:

Shall report to the Captains and Lieutenants

Fire and EMS Lieutenants:

Shall report to their respective Captains

Fire and EMS Captains:

Shall report to their respective Assistant Chiefs

Assistant Chief:

Shall report to the Chief

Note Any problems which arise should be handled through the chain of command whenever possible. However, all line officers are available at any time if help is needed.
