Purpose
To establish the standard operating procedures for qualifying EMS providers.
Procedure
To serve as the Attendant in Charge (AIC), a member must be certified by the Commonwealth of Virginia as an Emergency Medical Technician, or higher, and the certifications must be current.
In addition, members shall:
- maintain a valid CPR for Healthcare Providers certification
- be an active member and be on duty at least 24 hours per month.
- be responsible to find coverage for squad coverage if not able to pull duty.
- attend as many training sessions and regular monthly meetings, as possible.
