Fire and Rescue Squad, Inc.
GVFRS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit company that provides fire and medical emergency services to the citizens of Gloucester County, VA.
The fire department was organized in 1937 and was expanded to include EMS in 1968.
Our ~175 members serve approximately 37,000 citizens and 212 square miles. Our primary response are covers the northern portion of Gloucester County, starting in the White Marsh area. In addition, we provide water rescue services in the four rivers that flow through our response area.
