F1. Sequence of Apparatus Response

Purpose

To establish the “first-due” responding apparatus from each station.

Procedure

Station 1:

  1. Engine 14
    • Shall respond “first due” to all fire calls within station #1 response area except dumpster fires, helicopter landings and automobile accidents
  2. Engine 10
    • Shall respond “second due” to all structure, woods and brush fires, within station #1’s response area.
    • Shall respond with Tower 1 on all mutual aid structure fire calls when Tower 1 has been requested
  3. Engine 11
    • Shall respond “first due’ to all, helicopter landings and mutual aid requests to structure fires.
    • Shall respond “second due” behind R1 to all automobile accidents,
    • and “third due” to all structure fires within Station #1’s response area
  4. Rescue 1
    • Shall respond “first due” to all automobile accidents and search and rescue operations.
    • Shall respond after the pumper(s) to all structure, woods and brush fire
  5. Tower 1
    • Shall respond “first due’ to all LARGE commercial structure fires and fire alarms.
    • Shall respond to mutual aid as requested and will be accompanied by Engine 10.
    • Shall respond to structure and chimney fires as deemed necessary by incident command
  6. Utility 1
    • Shall be utilized to haul equipment and personnel to and from scenes as deemed necessary by incident command.
    • Shall be the last unit to respond to a call unless deemed necessary by a line officer.
    • Shall be utilized for picking up equipment and supplies as needed.
    • Shall be utilized for training and PR events as needed

Station 4:

  1. Engine 45
    • Shall respond “first due” to all structure fires, Automobile accidents
    • and “second due” to all woods and brush fires within Station 4’s area
  2. Engine 41
    • Shall respond “second due” to all woods and brush fires and “second due” to all structure fires with in Station 4’s area.
    • Shall respond “first due” to all mutual aid calls within Station 4’s area.
  3. Brush 4
    • Shall respond “first due” to all woods and brush fires within Station 4’s area.
    • Shall respond as transport vehicle for Boat 4 on all water rescue calls.
  4. Boat 4
    • Shall respond to all water rescue calls and mutual aid calls as requested.

Station 6:

  1. Engine 61
    • Shall respond “first due” Structure fire and automobile accidents.
    • Shall respond “second due” to woods and brush fires within Station 6’s area.
  2. Tanker 6
    • Shall respond “second due’ to all structure fires, woods and brush fires.
    • Shall respond to mutual aid calls as requested.
  3. Brush 6
    • Shall respond “first due” to all woods and brush fires within Station 6’s area.
    • Shall respond as transport vehicle for Gator 6 on all woods, brush fires and search and rescue calls.
  4. Reserve 6
    • Shall replace any and all apparatus on a temporary basis as needed.
    • Shall be utilized as the “pumper” for the burn building operations.
  5. Gator 6
    • Shall respond with Brush 6 to woods, brush fires and search and rescue calls as deemed necessary by incident command.
