Purpose
To establish the standard operating procedures for contacting the receiving hospital with patient information.
Procedure
Always notify the hospital using the appropriate communication devices, advising that you are in route to their location, and give them all pertinent information on your patient.
For critical patients, contact the Hospital via COR (cell phone). This channel is protected and allows you to provide the hospital with the patient’s name and date of birth.
