Yesterday, the GVFRS Fire Prevention Team hosted 46 home schooled children and 20+/- parents at Station 1 for a fire and life safety presentation. After a discussion of “best practices” on preventing fires, what to do if there’s a fire and keeping safe, they were given a tour of the station and shown fire and medic apparatus and the various tools carried on them and “jobs” performed by firefighters and medics.
